This end-of-Primary 7 booklet has been created for children who have completed Primary 7 and are preparing to move into Year 8.
During Primary 6 and Primary 7, children preparing for the SEAG exam often focus on a narrower range of topics linked closely to the exam specification. As a result, some areas of the wider Primary 7 curriculum may have been covered in less depth or practised less frequently. These can include topics such as rotational symmetry, finding the mode and median, and answering open-ended questions that require longer, more thoughtful responses.
This pack has been designed to address those gaps. The activities focus on areas not usually included in SEAG preparation, while the comprehension tasks encourage more extended written answers. The style of work reflects what children are likely to encounter in Year 8, where there is a greater emphasis on open-ended tasks and explaining thinking clearly.
Overall, this booklet provides a helpful bridge between primary and post-primary learning, giving children a clear insight into the type of work they can expect as they move on to the next stage of their education.
Answer explanations can be viewed by scanning the QR code included within the pack.
This is a paper-based pack and will be posted to you within 1–3 days of purchase.
