SPaG (P7 Version)

This booklet is designed specifically for Primary 7 pupils and contains punctuation, grammar and spelling exercises similar to those found in the SEAG exam. The activities feature longer, more complex sentences and more challenging spelling rules than those included in our Primary 5 and Primary 6 SPaG booklets, providing an appropriate progression in difficulty.

The spelling, grammar and punctuation skills assessed have been carefully tailored to Primary 7 level. The aim of these activities is to familiarise children with the style, layout and format of the literacy section of the SEAG exam while helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to tackle more challenging questions.

Each section begins with a list of specific punctuation marks, grammar topics or spelling rules that children should be able to recognise and correct when used incorrectly. Definitions, examples and expectations are provided before the six exercises.
