Primary 4: Vocabulary 

The resource provides exercises designed to teach and assess primary 4 students’ understanding of various language concepts, including homophones, synonyms, antonyms, compound words, prefixes, and suffixes.

The exercises consist of multiple sections, each focusing on different language skills:

1. Homophones: Students are introduced to homophones, words that sound the same but have different meanings and often different spellings. They are presented with a list of homophones and asked to identify and use them correctly in sentences.

3. Compound Words: Students are introduced to compound words, which are formed by combining two smaller words to create a new word with its own meaning. They are tasked with identifying compound words in sentences and breaking them down into their component parts.
4. Prefixes and Suffixes: Students learn about prefixes, which are added to the beginning of words to change their meanings, and suffixes, which are added to the end of words. They are provided with examples of words with prefixes and suffixes and asked to identify their meanings.

Through these exercises, students develop their vocabulary, spelling, and understanding of how words are formed and used in the English language. The exercises also help teachers assess students’ comprehension and mastery of these language concepts.
