The Primary 6 Term 2 Pack contains work that children are expected to cover during Term 2. This pack follows on from the P6 Term 1 Pack; however, it is not necessary to have completed the Term 1 Pack in order to complete the Term 2 Pack. Many of the topics included are assessed in the SEAG exam but are tailored to be appropriate for this stage of the year. The Term 2 Pack includes comprehension, numeracy and literacy tasks. The Term 3 Pack will build on the Term 2 Pack, introducing more challenging topics and an increased level of difficulty to ensure children continue to progress appropriately at this point in the year. The term 3 pack is scheduled for release in April 2026. 

Below you will find the option to add a comprehension booklet and Level 1 and Level 2 SEAG-style practice papers. 

The comprehension booklet contains short challenging fiction texts. In SEAG 2025, pupils were given two fiction texts, which many children found to be the most challenging of the text types.

The additional comprehension booklet includes the following question types: 

• parts of speech
• inference
• vocabulary understanding
• retrieval of key information
• identifying phrases within the text.

The SEAG-style Level 1 (x4) and Level 2 (x4) practice papers are introductory papers, tailored specifically for children in P6 Term 2. As a result, they contain fewer questions than the actual exam and are less challenging overall. However, children may still find some of the questions difficult; this is intentional, as it helps to identify gaps in knowledge and highlights areas that may need further support. This preparation ensures children are ready before progressing to the more challenging Level 3 papers, which will be available with the Term 3 Pack (more information on this is provided in the Term 2 Pack).
